Empowering families. Strengthening bonds. Building a brighter future for our neighborhood. Explore how Dee’s House connects our community to the resources and support they need to thrive.
Community & Impact
At Dee’s House, our mission goes beyond preparing children for kindergarten—we are dedicated to strengthening the entire Wilson community. We believe that when families and neighbors come together to support one another, every child has a better chance to thrive.
We reach out into the community by building partnerships with local schools, churches, and organizations to connect families with resources that meet their everyday needs. From hosting family workshops and community events, to offering volunteer opportunities and service projects, Dee’s House creates spaces where parents, caregivers, and neighbors can learn, share, and grow together.
Our impact can be seen not only in the classroom, but also in the lives we touch outside our doors. Parents leave with tools to support their child’s learning at home. Volunteers discover new ways to give back. Families who once felt isolated find connection and encouragement.
By working hand in hand with the community, Dee’s House becomes more than a Pre-K program—it becomes a hub of hope, service, and opportunity. Every partnership we build and every life we touch helps strengthen the bonds of our neighborhood and create lasting change for generations to come.
As we transition Dee Gathering Place into the central heartbeat of Dee’s House, we are expanding our calendar to offer consistent, impactful programming, including:
Empowerment & Life Skills Classes: Hands-on workshops focusing on essential life skills, personal growth, and creative development for both youth and adults.
Community & Coalition Meetings: A welcoming, accessible space where local leaders, families, and neighborhood organizations can convene, collaborate, and plan for the future.
Interactive Workshops: Specialized sessions covering health and wellness, family enrichment, and practical resources to help our neighborhood thrive.
Direct Family Support: Dedicated hours for instructional learning, community connection, and direct resource distribution.
